RIPPED & READY (PART 31)

RIPPED & READY (PART XXXI)

I so badly wanted last night to last forever; however, it was not to be.  During the drive home from the motel, Collin pretty much explained that, to keep our passionate evening as beautiful as it was, we needed to make it part of our private memories.  I'm not too certain what I was expecting the outcome to be but, damn, I didn't think he'd pull the plug out of the possibility so quickly.

When I dropped him off at Elijah’s crib, he rubbed me on my hand, and told me that he would never forget the magic we created together within the four walls of M6.  He said he'd always refer to it that way whenever we got together, and that we would be the only two people who knew what it meant.  He advised me that later in the week, he was going to have it tattooed on his chest, over his heart.  I watched him as he walked across the street in that thug swagger (you know, the side way-sorta waddle to keep the pants from slipping down).  It felt like it was an omen, a precursur that started the dominos falling.

M6 (Motel 6)

Wow!

Who knew a thug could be so romantic?

The drive back to my parent’s house was one of the most hurting trips I had taken.  I cannot believe that, overnight, I had fallen in love with Collin but, was it really a love or was it just a mutual lust?  I suppose it was up to me to reach a conclusion about it and I knew that it would not be easy because, the entire experience was cinematic and it kept playing over and over in surround sound, bouncing off the walls of my mind.

When I turned the corner I saw Danita and Antwon standing out in the driveway.  They looked as if they were upset about something.  I noticed my mother's car was not in it's usual place which was odd because, she never got out this early in the morning.  It was 7:00am.  They moved to the side so that I could pull into my space.

Danita walked around to the driver’s side, with her arms folded and tears in her eyes. I grabbed the steering wheel, and lowered my head, not wanting to get out of the car.  I just couldn't handle anything more.  She knocked on the window, and I could hear her calling my name.  I took a second to prepare myself for what I was about to hear.

I opened the door, and exited the car.  I closed the door, and leaned against it, looking her in the eyes, with an expression on my face that told her to spill the beans.  What she told me almost made me throw up.  Apparently she did not keep her mouth shut like she had she promised, and she had told my moms about his affair with Denise, but before I had the opportunity to curse her ass out, she dropped the bigger bomb on me.

"Denise is his child, Louella's sister told her that that is the reason why Johnny-Boy killed her, because he found out that the child she was carrying belonged to another man -- he didn't know daddy was the man.  Louella confided in a mutual friend of moms and hers.  Mom had managed to keep the secret all of these years.  That's why she always allowed Denise to stay over whenever she wanted because; she was daddy's child, our step sister", she said, putting a period at the end.

It felt like a knife had just pierced me straight through the heart.

I stood there in disbelief without saying one word.

No, it couldn't be.  That tramp ass whore was our stepsister?  Pops was fucking his own daughter.  How twisted was this entire ordeal going to get?  Fuck!  It further explained why his car was gone too.  Moms must've confronted him about it so that he wouldn't wind up getting his own child pregnant.

"Danita, where is moms at now?" I asked, sternly.

She started sobbing in her hands.  I grabbed her around the wrists, shook her, and asked again.  "WHERE IN THE FUCK IS OUR MOTHER AT, DANITA!"

"I don't know...I don't know, she took off in the car and pops took off after her," she said.

Dear God, what is he going to do to my mother?

I looked over in Antwon's direction, and his facial expression revealed the utter disbelief he had, learning about the sorted filandering of our father.  He shook his head and said, "Chile...".

Without any doubt in my mind, I knew that my parent's marriage was over.  I didn't even try to go find either of them because I had no idea where they took off to.  All we could do was sit, and wait until one of them showed back up, or called on the phone.

This court had become a chaotic hole, of lies, murder, and deceit.

I just knew my residency was going to change as soon as I found a new spot to live.  I just couldn't stomach anymore drama.

Little did I know, things were only about to get worse

D’Andre and Collin, I need you.
