Talia, Vera, and Kasey were freshmen at St. Mary's College Prep High School. They met on the first day of summer school when they had math class together. Talia clicked with them instantly because they were all having trouble with the math being taught by Mr. Jordan.
"This mess is for the birds man. I just can't seem to get this when we aren't in class" Talia said to them as they study during the lunch break.
"I know girl but we gon get this don't you worry." Kasey reassured her. Out of the three of them she was understanding the work the most so they always looked to her for help.
"Let's forget about this math and talk about what we are gonna wear on Monday for the first day of school?" Vera decided to throw in that thought because her mind was always on looking good. "You know that girl Jevan is ...

“Why is it always like this?” Talia asked herself as she flipped through channels on tv. Once again she was in the house on a Friday night.
“It ain’t like I don’t know nobody” 
Talking to herself was the last thing she wanted to be doing tonight. Everyone she called was either too busy to answer , or so busy that when they did answer they hung up before she could get a sentence out. All her little boy toys were somewhere with their other “main” chicks, while she was holed up in her room with yesterdays t-shirt on.
“ I am not gonna be bored tonight.  I’m going out if my life depends on it”
With that said she went to her closet to pick out something to wear for going out. She didn’t want to go to a club by herself and was against the bar scene, so she decided on the movies.
